At the Preschool, we place great value on regular daily routines and rituals. These provide the children with the necessary security so that they can develop in a carefree way. The children are taught through play and can pursue their own ideas, fantasies and wishes. Regular excursions to the nearby forest bring the children closer to nature.

Activities in small groups take place from Monday to Thursday in the morning and afternoon and rotate in a 2-week rhythm.
The forest morning alternates with the experimentation morning every fortnight.
Lunch is provided by MattenhofRestaurant, which cooks with seasonal and regional products and caters to all our wishes.
The children have the opportunity to work on small projects. For example, they might create a lantern.
They learn about different materials and how to use them:
Here, special exercises to promote fine motor skills are carried out in a playful manner. The children learn how to hold a pen correctly and playfully practice writing their name. They can thread, glue, knead and much more.
The children learn to understand the world in a way that is playful and appropriate for their age.
For example, at Easter they talk about eggs, look at who lays eggs and make a chicken or paint an egg with colours.
The children are introduced to numbers in a playful way. They learn to count in the morning circle when we see what date it is and we count together. The children are encouraged to develop their mathematical skills in small group activities, for example, by counting and painting the ice cream scoops of an ice cream cone printed on a sheet of paper.
This takes place alternately with the experimentation morning every fortnight. We take the children to the nearby forest in Gümligen. When the weather is warm enough, we eat lunch in the forest and then have time to play freely and discover the forest, the trees, plants and insects.
Movement games are incorporated into this morning as well as time to simply listen to the birds chirping.
The children can gain new experiences experimenting with different materials. The experiments are always age-appropriate and safe for the children.
They can watch and participate with excitement to see what happens when colors are mixed, how liquids react or how shadows become larger and smaller.
Feusi day-care and preschool accept Canton Bern's childcare vouchers. You can find out whether your local municipality issues these vouchers on the cantonal family website (www.fambe.sites.be.ch)
